Switched from fish oil to flaxseed oil for my dogs....is there enough omega 3 in it?

Fish oil capsules don't contain mercury so using long term will not be a problem. Flaxseed oil is just as healthy . However,some dogs are allergic to flaxseed. I found that out the hard way.
