Is it possible that eating a McDonald's Hamburger means we are eating some kind of plastic?

McDonald's says no, that the pictures have to be some kind of hoax. All I know is that my digestive system rejects McDonald's. I can't finish one of their Big Macs without having to heave it up immediately.
