Reporting a lawyer, NOT helping but taking money??

I truly belive i have found a lawyer who is literally robbing me. He is not following through on what he says he will do, then never return messages, calls, visits. he had insisted on taking my cash first and is not giving updates or even sseing me when i visit. I belive he has not taking the time on the case that he could he is always forgetting wats going on, the (2) times i talked to him in 1 year. i would really like some advice as to what i do when this guy lets me down and misrepresents me if he does at all. i know there methods of handling this if indeed he has not been professional??
