Which rock acts do you think will be synonymous with the Oughts, the first decade of the 21st century?

I think that metal is synonymous with the first decade of the 21st century. I don't have a long answer, but it's true in a way, it follows perfectly the direction that music has seemed to take, ever since the electric guitar, it has been known that as we progress, everyone wants faster, louder, more intense... I disagree, I want hippie movement clic rock to come back, sadly it never can, but the music from the era will always outlive anything made these days.
