Is it possible to have both a sealed and ported subwoofer enclosure?
I am going to build a custom sub box to put in the trunk of my car, but I am having trouble deciding on a ported or sealed enclosure. I was wondering if it is possible to do both. I want to build a triple box, and I wanted to have two subs both in separate sealed chambers and then put a vent or port on the other sub in it's own chamber. Has anybody ever tried this? I was wanting to know if it would sound worse or better. Because they both have their advantages so it seems to me that if I have both, I will get the sound quality out of the sealed and the loudness out of the ported. I'm not sure if this will work right or not though. Please let me know if anyone has heard of this or attempted it. Thanks!
