Anyone feel Kinks guitarist Dave Davies is a little underrated?

He pretty much wrote the first metal/punk riffs in 1964 and spawned thousands of imitators in garage bands around America, even Pete Townshend was so inspired he wrote 'I Can't Explain' based off The Kinks early 1964 material.
